OVERVIEW

For a midterm assignment in my Critical Computations class, we were asked to create an autobiographical bitmap game. This was my first major project using code.

The premise of the game is based on when I was bullied during lunch because my Japanese lunch looked and smelled different from my American classmate’s lunch. On one particular day, they took my lunch and dumped it into the trash bin, a sour memory that has been ingrained to my brain ever since. Luckily for me, this was one of the few times I encountered racism living in America and never faced another racist bully growing up.

I made the main character that represents my first grade self a teddy bear, and the bullies are three different colored cats. I decided to use animals instead of humans as the main characters of the game because it was easier to tell my story through cute animals.
